Research on SNOO and the 5 S’s

SNOO Smart Sleeper is a responsive bassinet that calms fussy infants and improves sleep using womb-like sensations and safe swaddling that secures babies in a supine position.

The 5 S’s is a framework of five techniques to soothe babies and promote sleep by imitating womb-like sensations. The 5 S’s are: swaddling, side-stomach positioning, shushing, swinging, and sucking.

* The SNOO Smart Sleeper used jointly with the SNOO Sleep Sack is intended to facilitate a supine position during sleep. Infants who are placed in a supine sleep position are at a lower risk of SIDS/SUID. The device is intended for home use by caregivers of infants from birth to 6 months of age, who are not yet able to roll over consistently. For important safety information, visit happiestbaby.com/fda.

** This webpage is for education and information purposes only and is not intended to promote the SNOO for uses not described in the instruction for use. Please consult with a qualified healthcare professional prior to using the device for any use not described in the instructions for use.
